The Bourbon Trail: A Complicated and Contradictory History
The Kentucky Bourbon Trail came into being in 1999, a product of the Kentucky Distillers Association, or KDA. It consists of member distilleries, which are listed as “stops” on the trail, though not all of the distilleries support tours. There are four gateway regions designated for the trail; these are Northern Kentucky, Lexington, Louisville, and Bardstown. The eighteen stops of the main Bourbon Trail are scattered around these four gateways. There is also a Craft Tour, also divided into four regions, with a total of 28 stops. The craft tour is focused on the continuing re-emergence of craft bourbons in the United States.

The Interstate Highway System: The Superhighways Connecting America
Просмотров 30 тыс.21 день назад
Its official name is the Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways. To most Americans, it is known simply as the interstate, though at times there are a number of more colorful names applied to certain sections, particularly in crowded cities. Its construction began in 1956, with the passage of the Federal-Aid Highway Act by Congress. While most Americans believe i...

Mont Blanc Tunnel: The Engineering Marvel You've Never Heard Of
Просмотров 17 тыс.Месяц назад
For centuries, mountain ranges have served as one of the most formidable obstacles for mankind. They are a transportation nightmare for anyone in the business of moving goods or people: you either had to wind your way through them, which was a slow, time consuming, and dangerous process, or else go around them, which could take you hundreds or even thousands of miles out of your way. Modern tec...

You are not American, so it is hard for you to understand, but it wasn’t US officials incompetence, but the US citizens stupidity that caused the deaths. For the scientists, they thought they knew so much more than they did. Despite other countries describing side bulges in a vulcanic eruption, they didn’t give any weight to the descriptions and therefore set up equipment way too close. As for the citizens, they DEMANDED access, returned home, went camping, flew into the area to camp, continued logging, and even defied police authority to go into the blast zone red area. Rescuers were hurt and millions lost trying to save those people from their own stupidity. Why foresters were planting tres in the area when other government agencies said it was dangerous perfectltky exemplifies the arrogance of many Americans who believe they know better than the leading authorities. America lost more lives in covid than other countries despite our wealth and top notch medical facilities because each individual thought they knew more than the scientists that actually went to school and studied it.
It's so old that one of the descendants of Noah was probably directly responsible for it. It's more likely one of Japheth's descendants.
The Sudeten Germans should learn something from Thomas Mann.
I thought I had it bad! I go outside to remove plastic rubbish from the shore here on the Back Cove in Portland Maine, where I live right nearby. I always collect a decent amount of plastics, even syringe needles. Sadly, I find those every time I go out there! Lots of plastic bags and liquid container caps, but I've also encountered lobster lines, combs, toothbrushes and plastic eating utensils. I once found a discarded boat's plastic port-a-potty. Most the garbage seems to have been there for quite a while. Well, I'm that old fool who puts on wading boots and ventures right out there amongst the reeds, picks what I encounter, then dumps it from my 5 gallon bucket onto a single spot so I can show it all in a RUclips video later on. Then I take it all to our dumpster. I also keep a quick journal so I can look back on what I've accomplished. If I were to see the garbage vortex in real life, or any other one, I would need to vomit probably. And if the trash trucks didn't come to empty all our dumpsters and trashcans we'd all be up to our eyeballs in filth by now, too.
❤fascinating
Enjoyed the video! For next time, "placer" (mining) rhymes with "passer," not "pacer." 🙂
I’m going to S21 this summer. Currently researching as much as I can now so I have a better chance of not breaking down in the prison. I don’t think I’m going to be able to handle it especially when I see the skulls and bones of those who died there.
Wrong. Northern Ireland is also a Scottish Colony
Being a bit of a map lover, I think I'd be fine. I don't use the GPS on Google maps unless I'm trying to get an idea of the distance/time between two places. Otherwise I just study the map and my route plus at least one but preferably two or even three alternate routes just in case.
Rural Interstates should have not had speed limits such rural sections of the German Autobahn. Placing speed limits were they were not needed allowed tire manufactures to build tires that would come a part after a bit of age for no apparent reason at higher speeds causing many otherwise unexplained deaths. That didn't happen in Europe were tires manufactures always had to face the unrestricted speed autobahn. It would and could place US automobiles at a much higher level of expertise. With the current traffic of rural interstates an upgrade to 3 lanes instead two along with high speed precaution and advancement could fix this historic mistake for creating high speed highways with no speed limits.
Yall should do a video about the history of planet discovery
Anyone else here living on/near the New Madrid?
The Natives didn't ignore the deadline. The deadline was in January, and it was impossible for them to travel at all in the dead of the Plains winter. The government did that deliberately.
Oh look it’s the same royalty free production music everyone on RUclips uses. It never gets old.
hey i was on the internet in 95! it would have sucked... but just a little :D
If they would have put in a comprehensive high speed rail system with the same money we would probably be much better off.
the timeline is really interesting. It took so long back then just to communicate.
Austraylis lol
It was misshaped. They didn't need to destroy the downtowns. It could have gone around them. It could have avoided destroying dense communities.
I was a truck driver in a transport battalion in the German Bundeswehr. Back then I learned to read maps and I still know roughly the location, numbers, and number-system of the German motorways. No one can take away what you have in your head.
I didn’t realize there were reptiles in the Carboniferous for some reason…
I adore how all of those companies and experts were silenced when this accident happened. Everyone acts like nothing will go wrong, until it always inevitably does.
Guess what happened in May 2024, but without the technology crashing and us all dying.
Great video...ust one problem. In pretty much all the ancient civilisations we know about in the ancient Near East, Mediterranean and north african, the citizens NEVER paid taxes. Citizens were untaxed and taxes were generally levied on conquered or colonised peoples.
Simon has never been to an Oregon beach if that sunny place is the image he pulled.
Wow Simon, you look different 😅
downvoted simply because the first 8 mins was myths i have no interest in and there are no time stamps.
No Simon, no watching unsubscribed
Most of these guys aren’t dangerous themselves…they prey on the weak and manipulate people who actually are dangerous. I have got to work in a prison and many of them are serial rapists, child molesters, repeat drug offenders, etc. The prisoners were afraid of me. They were all 5’6” tattooed up super insecure guys with mental health issues
Who's here after the may 11 auroras that also lives in the NW? We need to build a community and stay informed
Stop making me look like an idiot!
Miss Simon
I'm still waiting😅
The Pueblan architecture and homes look identical to Catalhoyuk, which is a 9,000 year old city abandoned 7,500 years ago
It was hardly "modern Iraq" 3,000 years ago.
Where is Simon?
Bro showing off with Stagg and I've never even seen a bottle, my favorite is eagle rare, and I just gotta say you seem like I cool dude and I'm here to see you improve but... you gotta improve, there's something about your delivery that's very uncomfortable and amateurish, not saying this to be mean and I don't think I could do better, but your going to have to, idk try being less stiff
Thames water
Yeah, about us getting hit by a CME...
Pretty much everyone in Europe (at the very least, western and central Europe) will have heard of the Mont Blanc Tunnel! ;)
if you think about it a Carrington event now will only affect the modern conveniences of our day
I find that question in life fascinating to watch fall about the people like devastating droplets of rain who say there from and going back to after death a far away world that is perfect and permanent n whatnot.
Can we please have Simon does these ??
Another huge problem area is that I-81 and I-76 do not provide any direct access to one another. Traffic is forced to get off the freeway environment and sit at traffic lights, waiting an eternity to go just a mile or two to get back onto the interstate. People who actually want this to continue (for-profit corporate interests) should be harshly punished and shamed for their selfishness and greed. They should make their money in a way that does not force the public into inconvenience and wasting fuel.
The non-compliant section Breezewood, that is discussed at 17:55, is horrendous. I go out of my way to avoid this horrible "town" that forces you to slow down and stop at lights. Damn you, Breezewood, for forcing me to detour so far out of my way so that I can avoid you.
Do autistic people find this type of talking annoying ? I like to learn , but not like this . I will turn off sound and read it
Leathal injection is more humane? Not everyone will agree.
6:56 Why does the sound get out of sync? How do you mess that up without proofreading prior to release?
nothing from the 17,18,1900s is modern time at all. nothing 100 years ago is modern at all
